Treasure Valley Canopy Network and City of Boise leaders celebrate $1.1 million USFS award to support urban forestry across Idaho’s Treasure Valley (October 2023)

Our team is active across the United States, building impactful collaborations within communities and in multiple sectors of climate action, resilience, leadership ….. and we’re having lots of fun along the way!

Here are a few of our recent updates and opportunities for you to get involved:

  • Coming up in Spring 2025:

  • February 2025 A leadership transition in Washington, DC has created major negative impacts through a freeze of USDA funding sources supporting urban forestry programs; forest management and wildland fire mitigation programs and much more! There are several projects and programs where we are invested that are being negatively impacted, including: Treasure Valley Canopy Network; SW Idaho All-Lands Partnership; Wood River Valley Collaborative Forest Enhancement Project and others. We are working diligently with our community partners, national organizations and leadership in US Congress and at USDA to navigate this difficult time and are seeking solutions and opportunities to continue this important work.

  • October 2024 The Southwest Idaho All-Lands Partnership hosted a stakeholder workshop and field tour of the Clear Creek community adjacent to Boise National Forest. On 10/23, the Partnership was notified of a $20.7 million award from USDA to support the SW Idaho Forest Fund, which will help us increase the pace and scale of forest management activities across this important Idaho landscape.

  • We’ll periodically provide updates here, but the best way to get real-time updates from our team, follow and engage with us via our various social media channels (all links provided below).
